Classic Climbs
There are too many climbs and cols within reach of St Gervais to mention in detail here.

However, these are a few of Chris's favourites:

Col de la Colombière (1618m) - a regular on the Tour de France, the route from Scionzier starts at 500m. 16.3km long with an average gradient of 6.8%; increasing to a lung-busting 10.2% for the final 3km. With the sun beating down, it's a real test of character. A route not to be missed.

Col des Saisies (1650m) - From Flumet at 900m, and just under 15km, this is a stunning climb on quiet roads. The gradient rarely goes above 8%, so plenty of time to catch your breath and admire the amazing views.

Col des Montets (1461m) - A unforgettable ride from St Gervais through beautiful forests and the stunningly jagged peaks of the Chamonix Valley. Relax with a coffee in the centre of Chamonix, whilst enjoying the breathtaking mountains.

Col de Pierre Carrée (1844m) - A total ride distance of 100km from St Gervais, the climb towards the ski resort of Flaine is 21km of almost constant climbing. Rarely exceeding 8%, and with the stunning mountain backdrop, this climb is a real favourite.

Col de Romme (1300m) - Featured on Stage 17 of the 2009 Tour de France, this climb is testing! From Cluses at 500m, the route is 8.3km, with an 800m climb. Average gradient is 8.7%, with sections of 11% and 13%.
